Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing care and support for our furry friends. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring the well-being of the animals, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Current part-time schedule offered
Must be Available to work the following shifts
Every other Saturday 7:30-5:30
Sundays 7:30- 5:30
Thursday 6:30-1
Potential to pick up other extra shifts if desired
New hire candidate must be extremely reliable And show up on time for scheduled shifts and keep up with Kennel duties
Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Administer medications as directed
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to management
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing & walk in nail trims
- Handle animals with care and practice proper animal restraint techniques
- Provide basic training and socialization for dogs
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment using our software
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary or boarding/doggie daycare highly preferre.
- Knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus in order to have opportunity to earn commission
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
